Book IWD Speaker: Roxane Mullen
Accredited Psychotherapist | Empowering Women Through Emotional Wellbeing & Resilience
Roxane Mullen is an accredited Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and a member of the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). Passionate about making psychotherapy accessible, Roxane brings emotional wellbeing tools out of the therapy room and into everyday life, helping women better understand their emotions and how these experiences shape their sense of self, relationships, and overall wellbeing.
Through her work with women, Roxane has observed a common pattern: many capable, caring women carry a strong inner critic and struggle with emotional overwhelm while continuing to give so much to others. Her talks explore how our early emotional experiences shape what she calls our “emotional blueprint” — the unique way each of us learns to understand, express, and respond to our feelings.
In her engaging and supportive sessions, Roxane introduces her practical Four W’s Emotional Check-In, a simple framework that helps women pause, understand what they are feeling, and respond with greater self-awareness and compassion rather than self-criticism. By learning how to listen to their emotions instead of pushing them aside, participants begin to see emotions not as problems to fix, but as valuable information that can guide healthier choices and boundaries.
Roxane recently delivered a keynote at the Donegal Women in Business Network’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, where she connected with a diverse audience around emotional wellbeing, self-compassion, and resilience. Known for her warm and down-to-earth style, Roxane creates a safe and reflective space where women feel understood, supported, and empowered with tools they can use immediately in their everyday lives.
Proposed Seminar Title
Feel Better Every Day: Understanding Your Emotional Blueprint
Proposed Seminar Overview
In this interactive and supportive session, participants will explore how their emotional patterns develop and how these patterns influence daily life, relationships, and self-talk.
Many women grow up learning to minimise or avoid difficult feelings, often developing a strong inner critic in the process. Roxane introduces the concept of an emotional blueprint — the unique way each of us learns to relate to our emotions based on our experiences and environment.
Through guided reflection and practical tools, participants will learn how to reconnect with their emotional awareness and respond to themselves with greater compassion.
Using the Four W’s Emotional Check-In, Roxane will guide participants to explore:
• What am I feeling?
• Where do I feel it?
• Why might it be here?
• Waiting for the emotion to pass
By understanding that emotions are not problems to fix but information to understand, women can begin to support themselves more effectively, manage overwhelm, and build greater emotional resilience in everyday life.
Participants will leave with a simple, practical framework they can return to whenever they feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure what they need.
