Nakshathra Suresh is a cyber criminologist, academic and public speaker. She has delivered addresses at various conferences, podcasts, webinars and professional forums in Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and virtually.
Nakshathra is an actively sought out speaker, with note to topics regarding digital safety and how harm reduction principles need to be incorporated in new and emerging technologies. Nakshathra brings a social science and criminological perspective to all industries, and works across academia, industry and the not-for-profit sector to advance the responsible technology movement.
As a proud South Asian woman of colour, her work in public speaking and digital safety advocacy for marginalised communities and minority groups has earned her numerous nominations.
These include the 2024 Women's Agenda Leadership Awards 'Emerging Leader in Tech', the Australian South Asian Centre’s 2024 Stellar South Asian Women Awards ‘Global Impact’ and the Female Factor's 'A Voice for a New Era of Leaders'. Most recently, Nakshathra was a highlighted speaker for ‘Metaverse Safety Week 2024’ and will feature as a keynote at the ‘Shield Global Online Safety Conference’.
