Shakespeare’s women characters will help participants gain experience in:

How Women Lead: Elizabeth II and the Queens Before Her

The popularity of the British Royal Family around the world seemed most evident in the way Queen Elizabeth II was revered around the world. Her record-setting reign was remarkable not just for its length but for the way the queen managed to stay the royal course while navigating extraordinary changes in culture, technology, international relations, volatile politics, and the never-ending drama of her own family. The queen was actually just the latest in a line of female monarchs, each of developed her own leadership in a changing world.

The Queens through history will teach participants to:
• Always believe in yourself.
• Write the story you want to live.
• Choose your future.
• Bring people together.
• Focus on what matters most.
• Adapt to change while staying the course.

Six Wives: Six Ways to Lead Like a Queen

Almost everyone has heard of the “Six Wives of Henry VIII.” Even many portrayals have the king in the center, as if the women hold our attention because of him. But with the success of the new musical SIX, we can see that the wives are the ones whose stories who have something to teach us.

The Six Wives will teach participants to:
• Know where you come from and what makes you unique.
• Never settle for second best.
• Take a chance on yourself.
• Be creative in defining “success.”
• Get real—deal in reality.
• Keep moving forward.

She speaks globally for Smithsonian Associates, Smithsonian Journeys, Queen Mary 2, and more about how leaders can use timeless principles from Shakespeare and history to achieve success today. The host of “Royals, Rebels, and Romantics” podcast, she’s the author of The Tudors by Numbers, Courting the Virgin Queen, How to Build Relationships One Conversation at a Time, and Meaningful Conversations. Carol Ann is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society, member of Innovation Women, and Past President of the Washington, DC chapter of the National Speakers Association.
