Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah

Social entrepreneur and advocate supporting women in African and the Diaspora to make impact and income

Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah is the Founder of Guzakuza, an organization dedicated to advancing women's participation in agribusiness across Africa and beyond.

Through her work, she has supported over 7,000 women across 31 countries, helping them build businesses, expand market access, and navigate the challenges of the agricultural sector.

With a background in economic development, business strategy, and leadership, Nana has worked with governments, international organizations, and private sector stakeholders to strengthen the agribusiness ecosystem.

She has played a key role in shaping policies and programs that create opportunities for women in agriculture.

Nana is a UN Women UK Delegate and a past member of the UN Women’s Economic Empowerment Reference Group for East and Southern Africa.

She served as a jury member for the German Corporation’s Game Changers – Women in Agriculture Programme and has been a speaker at high-level forums, including the G20, African Union, Malabo Montpellier Panel, and NEPAD symposiums.

Her contributions to agribusiness and entrepreneurship have earned her several recognitions, including the UK’s Inspiring Women Award, 100 Global Women, Africa 40 Under 40, and the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards.

Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, DW TV & Radio, Spore Magazine, Citi News, Peace FM, and Joy News, among others. In 2017, she presented the Berlin Charter at the G-20 meeting in Berlin, contributing to global discussions on food security and sustainable agriculture.

Beyond her professional commitments, Nana is passionate about creating platforms where women can connect, collaborate, and build resilient enterprises and support each other.

She is also an editor for the WiFAI Magazine, which highlights the stories and achievements of women in food and agribusiness.
