Jenny Dorsey

Award winning chef, author, artist, and social impact entrepreneur

Jenny is a professional chef, writer and artist specializing in multi-platform storytelling fusing food with social good.

She leads a nonprofit culinary production studio named Studio ATAO and runs her own culinary consulting business.

Jenny is a former management consultant and Columbia MBA who decided to completely pivot her career and pursue the world of food; she worked at various Michelin-starred restaurants in NYC and SF as well as corporate food R&D before finding her voice in food as a form of social activism and artistic expression of vulnerability. 

Her food and work has been profiled in outlets such as Eater, Food & Wine, Oxygen TV and NowTHIS. 

Studio ATAO is a 501(c)3 nonprofit culinary production studio that brings together interdisciplinary artists to create content and live experiences rooted in social impact.

Its flagship series, Asian in America, is an award-nominated symbolic exhibition and 6-course dining experience that explores the complex narrative of the Asian American identity through food and drink, virtual reality, spoken word and poetry.

Asian in America is currently touring across the U.S. with upcoming events in Los Angeles, Honolulu and Minneapolis.

The Studio's latest series, HIDDEN, is a multi-sensory food, dance, virtual reality and poetry experience about finding clarity in self-perception.

HIDDEN debuted in NYC June 2019 and will be traveling internationally in 2020.
