A lead adviser on countless global health issues, passionate about elevating women to top leadership positions
Amie Baston is a passionate advocate for women across the world. During her 25-year career in global health she had held positions with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Bank, USAID, and PATH where she most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Applied Analytics and Learning.
Throughout her career she has been a leader in innovation and partnership. Her contributions to immunization and vaccine financing at the World Bank resulted in billions of dollars in new funding for global health and the establishment of GAVI.
Now, as the Executive Director of WomenLift Health, she has taken her experience, drive, and ambition to spearhead this new initiative, housed at Stanford Global Health, aimed at propelling more women into global health leadership positions.
She knows why women must lead, and how to get women into these positions, and after her talk the audience will too.
