Goal-getter Engineering Ph.D. Latina: organically led a state-wide hurricane relief initiative with 300+ volunteers, passionate about mentoring, and equity believer.

Rose works with the organization to chose the topic tailored to the event and place. The workshops can be customized for 1 hr – 4 hrs, and usually consist of interactive sessions with visuals and activities or panels.

Based in Florida, Rose is comfortable presenting in person, online, and via pre-recorded video. Rose has been a speaker at national and international conferences, law firms, and several universities across the nation.

Rose has mentored many underrepresented minorities in STEM, has co-founded a Diversity Committee for a national organization, created many diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and has led state-wide hurricane relief efforts. Rose has been honored with an M.L.K. Spirit Award, Foundation for Science and Disability Student Grant, Distinguished Leadership Award, and as a "Hero for Puerto Rico" at the NY Puerto Rican parade.

She has Puerto Rican and Mexican roots and holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, and an M.S.E. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. She is an engineering consultant that utilizes her expertise to assist clients in the investigation and prevention of accidents and in the understanding of complex scenarios. – in safety, human factors, and biomechanical analyses.
