May Wang
An immigrant who founded a cybersecurity company; Technologist, board member, author & advocator for women in tech
Dr. May Wang was the Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and board member of Zingbox, a cybersecurity company incubated out of Stanford StartX. Zingbox was acquired by the security leader Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW) in 2019.
Before Zingbox, May was the Head of Asia Pac Research and a Principal Architect in the Cisco CTO office driving new technology initiatives. Her innovation results have been deployed in multiple Cisco’s best-selling products. May also served on the advisory boards of multiple VC firms and tech companies.
May has been the recipient of numerous awards including Silicon Valley Women of Influence, Female CxO Trailblazers Award, and several Stevie Awards.
May has been a frequent speaker at high tech conferences, universities like Stanford and UCSF.
Her topics include technology innovation, leadership, women in high tech, women entrepreneurship.
May authored a book of biographies in Chinese titled Women Executives in Silicon Valley. She was the 10th President of NACSA, a non-profit organization with over 4,000 members.
May received her Ph.D. from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering.
