Ivana I. Osagie is the Founder and Visioner of PWR- an Africa focused female leadership/career development and gender diversity consulting firm.
PWR supports corporate organisations to achieve gender diversity and build gender inclusive workplaces. It works with career women to develop their leadership capacity and raise their visibility and representation in the marketplace. PWR also provides data and research services to investors, regulators and other institutions interested in gender diversity.
Ivana is a certified diversity and inclusion practitioner and has for many years run two women’s networks, one for early to mid-career women and another for executive and board level women. She is an experienced corporate strategist and board director with over 25 years’ multi-functional and multi-cultural experience gained in the UK and in Nigeria
As a senior female leader, Ivana has first-hand experience of the challenges women face in leadership roles in the workplace particularly as they get into more senior positions. She is a strong advocate for gender inclusion in the corporate environment and is particular about highlighting the business case for getting more women into leadership and corporate governance. In August 2020, her company PWR released Nigeria’s first gender diversity scorecard providing granular data and comparing the representation women on the top 20 companies by market capitalisation on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
A regular keynote speaker who has spoken at local and international events, Ivana has run numerous workshops for women to support their career and personal development and also works with them one-on-one. She and her work have been featured on Arise Network, Silverbird TV, TEDxVI, BusinessDay, ThisDay, Bloomberg, the FT, Today’s Woman and Genevieve Magazine. She is also an angel investor with a focus on gender lens investing and is an avid photographer In her spare time.
Ivana is an inspiring speaker who challenges women to leave the fear behind and dare to be more and to ask for more. She is great at engaging men and helping them understand how they can be allies and sponsors for women and why it is for the common good. She also speaks on the immense potential in the female economy and explains how companies can tap into it by mainstreaming women’s perspectives into all aspects of their business. As an angel investor, gender lens investing is another area she regularly speaks on.
