Goldman Sisters

Exciting music ensemble taking a fresh approach to performances.

The GOLDMAN SISTERS currently takes the form of a duo of sisters Ortal Goldman (violin) and Gavriella Goldman (horn).

Their humorous music shows combine music and theatre. Gavriella and Ortal teach students of all ages and abilities at the Renaissance Music School and at the British Online Music School

This might be unusual but they go together very nicely.

However, what they do with those instruments does not fit neatly into the small box that is a standard duo and despite their best attempts to squash them in, they now sit comfortably outside the box.

Many have seen and heard these two do their thing. Internationally renowned musicians have recognized them for their ‘daring, imaginative and confident performances’.

Individually, Ortal and Gavriella have won many prizes, including the Nelly Apt Opera and Singers Trust Award in Australia and the Sir Jack and Lady Lyons Millennium Scholarship.

They have also been students at The Rubin Academy of Music, Bar-Ilan University and the University of York. The Goldman Ensemble was invited to perform a concert in memory of the victims of the London Bombings at St Martin-in-the-Fields on the first anniversary of the tragedy.

They were subsequently asked to return and perform again. Their mellifluous sounds were recorded at the Wigmore Hall and they were offered the rare opportunity to promote their CD at Virgin Megastore in Piccadilly.

Later, the lovely people at the London City Showcase selected them to join the ranks of their chosen artists.

Ever since they have been performing far and wide as soloists and chamber musicians in many parts of the world.

They have wowed audiences at the Chatsworth Estate, Sydney Opera House, Mann Concert Hall and many more.
