Honeywell Futureshapers #EmbraceEquity on International Women’s Day and Beyond

Darius Adamczyk, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Honeywell

 IWD 2023

Inclusion and Diversity is a foundational principle at Honeywell, and this leads us to #EmbraceEquity in every decision, every day.

We are consistently working towards a world that is not only free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, but that’s equitable for our employees – who we call Futureshapers – regardless of gender. This comes to life in our Inclusion & Diversity efforts related to representation, retention, and recognition.

  • Representation: We have increased diversity representation for every category – including women – over the last 10 years. In 2022, we achieved diversity in more than 80% of our slates.

  • Retention: The Honeywell Women’s Employee Network (HWEN) is one of nine networks, initiated specifically to foster a culture of equity and inclusion, and HWEN has more than 6,000 members. We also enriched our U.S. infertility and medical travel benefits last year. Additionally, our prestigious Women’s Career Advancement Program increased to an annual cycle, and we have women’s development programs across the globe.

  • Recognition: Several of our achievements last year ladder back up to our commitment to the female Futureshapers. We received the Best Companies to Work for Millennials and Best Companies to Work for Diversity awards from the Women’s Choice Awards. Individual awards, like Sustainability Magazine’s Top 100 Women and SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 were bestowed on some of our top performers.

This isn’t about what we’ve accomplished as it isn’t nearly enough. There is a lot left to do, and we will continue to drive a culture that is diverse, inclusive, and equitable for our entire team.
