We mark International Women’s Day (IWD) every year to allow us to recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women in Coventry while advocating for gender equality. It’s our platform to celebrate progress, raise the ongoing challenges and drive action towards a more inclusive world.  We get the opportunity to display our art objects and other business ideas that we could have.

ABOUT CEAWG:
The Coventry Empowered African Women Group supports women with different services such as, career advises, interpreter, health life style, advise and counselling, kids supporting group, and also different workshops to promote the awareness of our culture to children and some other problems that an African women may encounter every day in the British society.

We believe that African women can embrace who they are, define their future, and change the world. We work towards creating an environment where African women and girls can realize their full potential and become agents of change in their communities.

CEAWG was established by Mrs. Ruth Ngwata with the aim to support, advocate for, and promote African women's heritage.

CEAWG is committed to - support, advocate, and promote African women in the community by providing necessary information about different available services that meet their needs.     promote women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choice, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. We support women with different services such as carrier advice, interpreters, health life styles, advice and counselling, kids support group, and different workshops to promote the awareness of our culture to children and addressing problems African women encounter in British society. We also provide support in the advancement of citizenship or community development and this support is focused on social and community best interest, rather than the individual
