Join us for a warm and inspiring morning as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 with our annual community breakfast at the Mornington Racecourse.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Mt Eliza, Frankston and Rosebud/Rye, this event brings together local leaders, businesses, community groups, and residents for a morning of connection, reflection, and empowerment.

This year’s global IWD theme focuses on recognising the achievements of women, championing equity, and inspiring positive change in every community.

Our breakfast will honour the women shaping the Peninsula—across business, education, health, sport, the arts, and volunteer service.

We are excited to confirm that our guest speakers will be announced soon.

Each year, our speakers share compelling personal stories, professional insights, and messages that resonate long after the morning concludes.

🌟 Keynote Speaker: Sally Capp AO

Sally Capp AO is one of Australia’s most recognisable and respected leaders — a trailblazer in business, community advocacy, and public service. As Melbourne’s first directly elected female Lord Mayor (2018–2024), Sally guided the city through its most challenging period, championing recovery, resilience, and bold new ideas.

Her career spans senior roles at KPMG and ANZ, leadership positions in major industry bodies, and historic firsts, including becoming the first woman on the Collingwood Football Club board. Today, she continues to influence Australia’s future as CEO of Create Advisory, Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of Melbourne, and board member for several major organisations. Awarded an AO in 2023, Sally remains an inspiring voice for leadership, courage, and community impact.

🌿 Guest Speaker: Ms Patricia Terrill (FRACS)

Ms Patricia Terrill is a highly respected Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has served the Mornington Peninsula community for more than three decades. After completing her MBBS at the University of Melbourne, she trained in Melbourne, Hobart, and London before gaining her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993.

Patricia led the Plastic and Reconstructive Unit at Peninsula Health from 1996 to 2023 and continues to care for patients through Peninsula Private Hospital and private practice in Frankston. Her expertise spans skin cancer surgery, hand surgery, cosmetic breast and abdominal procedures, and advanced wound management. She is a committed mentor, educator, and longstanding member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Australian Hand Society, and Wounds Australia.

Guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast, opportunities to network, and the chance to engage with local organisations committed to supporting women and girls.

Whether you attend as an individual, a workplace group, or with friends, this event offers a meaningful way to mark International Women’s Day and support the ongoing work of Rotary in our community.
