CLOSING THE CONFIDENCE GAP: THE POWER OF WOMEN ADVANCING TOGETHER

What would you do if you had a little more confidence? Would you take the next step in your career, assume more leading roles, set boundaries, ask for a raise, or even run for office?  

Despite having more women than ever in leadership roles today, doubt and imposter feelings are a big reason women hold back and play small instead of going for what they truly desire at work. Coupling this with gendered expectations and likability biases women experience in the workplace today, it’s no wonder that so many women are undervaluing themselves and their abilities.

These doubtful thoughts and systemic issues are expensive—they cost women (and their organizations) their peace, their potential, and in their paychecks.  

To close the confidence gap and see more women showing up in their full potential at work, we need more women leaders at the top of organizations using their unique leadership style and approach. Research shows that women who have strong support systems advance more quickly and lead more confidently.

The 2026 International Women's Day theme is #givetogain - emphasizing the power of reciprocity and support for women leaders. When women thrive, we all rise together. This session will focus on building the relationship capital and support women need to advance to the rooms where decisions are made. I'll teach practical tools and strategies to:


1. Close the confidence gap
Recognize the true causes of the confidence gap, doubt and imposter feelings and learn simple tools to boost your confidence and leadership potential in the moments that matter.

2. Increase your influence
Create your Influence Map and learn to use your authentic style to build your relationship capital, compel others to action and advance at work

3. Advance your ideas
Identify and claim your unique ideas and points of view. Share those ideas to make an impact, even if those in the room intimidate you

4. Accelerate your impact
Tap into the power of The 5 Support Networks you have as leader so you can advance your career and make impact in the rooms where decisions are made
