Let’s celebrate feminism and build sisterhood together this IWD. Join Women’s Studies Online for snacks, an art installation and workshop!

Women's Studies Online (WMST) is hosting our first in-person event! Join us on March 8, 2026 for a day of connection, education, and celebration in honour of International Women's Day.

When: March 8, 2026 from 12 noon - 4pm

Where: Centre for Social Innovation, 192 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 2C2

The event will be a facilitated interactive workshop. Tea, coffee, and light snacks will be provided. On-site no-cost childcare is available and the venue is wheelchair accessible. This hybrid event will include virtual participation from WMST members. We will raffle off a feminist book at the end of the event!

Agenda:

12pm - 1pm: Our space will be open for women to browse our International Women’s Day art installation, read some rad text that we’ll bring along to share, eat some snacks, chat with others, make new friends and maybe see old ones, or just come out and be in the space.

1pm - 2pm: Opening words by Cherry Smiley and housekeeping.

2pm - 4pm: A facilitated interactive workshop where we’ll get to connect, share, and learn with each other in small groups in a woman-centered space.
