SHE MOVES ME - MOVEMENT & CONNECTION - By Women. For Women.
Celebrating International Women’s Day
Glebe Town Hall
Sat 7 March 6-9pm (Please arrive 10-15 mins early for signing in)
Across cultures and time, people have used movement and dance to express emotion, mark important moments, and connect with one another. Moving the body has always been a way to process experience — physically, emotionally, and socially.
She Moves Me is an evening of movement and connection, hosted by women, for women. It offers a space to explore freeform dance, tune into physical sensation, and move with others in a way that feels personal, spacious, and honest. The session is guided by experienced Ecstatic Dance DJ and movement teacher, with a focus on choice, comfort, and respect for individual boundaries.
The event includes:
A cacao welcoming, offering a quiet moment to arrive, pause, and settle into the space together.
Somatic movement and Ecstatic Dance journeys, supporting self-directed movement and body awareness.
An Authentic Movement–based practice, exploring witnessing and being witnessed to support attention, empathy, and connection.
Singing circle, using simple sound and voice to encourage play, listening, and shared rhythm.
This is an inclusive, non-performative environment open to all bodies and levels of movement experience. You’re welcome to move gently or energetically, to take breaks, or to simply observe.
No prior dance experience is needed — just a willingness to move in your own way.
Tickets pricing:
Early Bird - $44 (Limited to the first 30 tickets only)
General Release - $55

Event guidelines:
No phones use, even on silent – if you need to check your phone, take devices outside the hall and check them there.
No talking – words take us straight back into our heads!
Arrive on time – the warm-up, including the initial ‘guided’ somatic movement is an important part of the process.
Stay until the end both for yourself, and for the group – if you leave early you will disrupt the collective energy and your own process will be incomplete.
