Join us for a great talk on Baggotonian women who have been excluded from traditional narratives! Fundraiser Women's Aid Ireland IWD weekend.

Baggotonia, Dublin's Latin Quarter has long been associated with literary figures; however the women who drove important social, political, artistic and environmental transformation—including Gayfield Press, Mary Lavin, Anne Yeats, Mrs Gaj and others—whose work created and inhabited innovative often liminal cultural and intellectual spaces, remain excluded from its traditional narrative.

Talk and images presented by Rachel Fehily, Research Ireland funded PhD Scholar and Lecturer on Literature and Justice at UCD.

She will be a visiting scholar at University of Oxford later this year.

United Arts Club Dublin 2, Dublin

Friday, Mar 6, 2026 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm GMT
