Magdalena Poulin

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging expert drawing from her rich experiences of exclusion

Magdalena is an expert on all aspects of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She helps organizations create inclusive cultures and speaks on transforming organizations and teams through active inclusion, mentorship, change management, inclusive leadership, and intersectionality. Her international career, culturally diverse family and experiences of exclusion stemming from an intersection of her cultural heritage, linguistic background, gender, age, family, and caregiver status, inspire her keynotes and provide a catalyst for social change.

Magdalena has over 15 years of diversified and multinational work experience in the EMEA, Asia Pacific and Oceania regions. Currently based at Macquarie University, she oversees the Workplace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion systemic changes at the organizational level and fosters a culture of inclusion and belonging. Prior to Macquarie University, she built the Diversity & Inclusion functions and programs on a regional scale at AIG, HP, and EMC, and she speaks regularly on inclusion, women empowerment, bias, inclusive leadership, and intersectionality.

Magdalena seeks to transform workplaces and cultures through people, governance, and technology. She is passionate about empowering underrepresented communities and bridging the gaps of inequitable access to resources and opportunities. Magdalena is one of the Founding Members of KeyNote, a non-profit organization that aims to promote gender diversity on speaking stages and she founded the Two-Way Mentoring Program at PrimeTime, Business and Professional Women’s Association in Singapore.

Magdalena lives in Sydney with her husband and two children. In her leisure time, she mentors women globally under the Women Accelerators program, leads KeyNote Women Oceania chapter expansion and volunteers at a Polish Community Language School. Magdalena likes staying active through aerial arts, yoga, and rock climbing, and she loves traveling around the world with her family.
