Her work has contributed to creating a more inclusive environment in a traditionally male-dominated field, where she serves as a mentor and role model to women in all stages of their careers.

But her influence extends beyond the workplace. Sorcha is deeply committed to her community and has had a long-standing involvement in political leadership. Serving as the Northern Ireland representative on the Fianna Fáil National Executive, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that the voices of her community are heard on national platforms. Her tenure as a local councillor and her leadership in cultural, educational, and diversity initiatives highlight her dedication to promoting unity, equality, and opportunity for all.

In addition to her political and professional achievements, Sorcha also mentors young women through programs like SistersIN, guiding the next generation of female leaders.
