Book IWD Speaker: Bianca and Kritz Sciessere

Co-founders of The Big Sister Experience, inspiring the next generation with self-love & self-confidence to become the capable, resilient & empowered individuals of tomorrow

Bianca and Kritz Sciessere are real-life sisters and former teachers who founded The Big Sister Experience.

The Big Sister Experience is a social enterprise that offers mental health, wellbeing and life education workshops to students, educators and families, in primary and secondary schools. It provides a diverse array of programs tailored for Grade 5 to Year 12 students, including full-day, half-day, and ongoing wellbeing workshops specifically designed for female-identifying students. The Big Sister Experience also offers educator and family workshops, demonstrating a holistic, community focused approach.

The Big Sister Experience creates a safe space for female-identifying students (Grade 5 to Year 12) to discuss life challenges and explore ways to improve mental wellbeing. Its mission is to educate and empower young people for the prevention, intervention and minimisation of harm and hardships with the goal of helping young people lead fulfilled and connected lives.

The Big Sister Experience empowers young people by providing education on relevant topics and facilitating the opportunity for students to acquire both the knowledge and the skills to navigate challenges in order to make informed choices that are best for their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. The workshops offer space for young people to benefit from the experience of sharing their difficulties with peers, facilitators or trusted adults and being seen, heard and understood.

Bianca and Kritz use storytelling to connect authentically with young people and meet young people where they are at.

Bianca's journey has been marked by personal challenges, including battling anxiety and depression, which fuels her passion for empowering young people.

Kritz draws on her personal experiences with many of the same challenges facing young girls today, such as battling an eating disorder and self-harm during her teenage years. Kritz’s openness about her past struggles allows her to connect deeply with others.

This lends Bianca and Kritz to being the perfect speakers at your next International Women's Day event.

They can speak on a range of topics at your request including starting a business, working with young people, the challenges facing young women today, supporting burned-out educators and much more.
