Book IWD Speaker: Kim Blue
Chief People Officer of COPILOT Provider Support Services, Fractional HR Leader at Fundamental Advisors LP, Official Member of the Forbes Human Resources Council & Former Senior HR Business Partner of ESPN
Kim Blue has built a career defined by clarity, courage and a steady commitment to people. She leads COPILOT Provider Support Services as Chief People Officer, guides Fundamental Advisors LP as a fractional HR leader, and serves as an executive coach with The Black in HR. She is also a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council and runs K Blue Consulting, the organisational development firm she founded. Each role reflects her instinct for shaping workplaces that help people grow rather than grind.
She began after studying organisational development at Queen’s University of Charlotte. ESPN hired her as an Employee Wellness Representative, where she shaped programmes that supported more than seven thousand staff. She moved into HR Business Partner roles across the Audio and Technology divisions, then became Senior HR Business Partner. Thirteen years at the network gave her a grounding in performance development, wellbeing, and the everyday reality of building healthy teams. One example often cited from this period is her redesign of a fitness and wellness initiative that boosted participation across multiple sites.
Microsoft came next. As Senior HR Manager for the US East Region, she guided managers through fast shifts in culture and capability. She later became Global Head of People Experience Partners at Zoom, helping the company navigate rapid international scale. Alongside these roles, she joined the executive board of The Black in HR, gained Project Management Essential Certification, and was named one of the Top 10 Diverse Leaders at the 2021 Tech Inclusion Conference. She also became a member of Chief, the private network supporting women in senior leadership.
Today, her work spans coaching, people strategy and organisational culture. Her reputation is built on more than experience; clients trust her judgement and her ability to convert complex challenges into clear, practical steps. She speaks often about change management, diversity, inclusion, employment law, workforce planning and the future of work.
International Women’s Day audiences value her honesty and authority. She talks with ease about the pressures women face at work, the structures that hold talent back, and the practical actions teams can take to make progress. She draws from her own journey through global organisations, showing how women can lead with impact while protecting their wellbeing. Her sessions feel personal, thoughtful and grounded in real practice. Companies book her because she helps them move from intention to action, giving leaders the confidence to build workplaces where women can thrive.
